Projects developing innovative investment strategies in junior mining will be presented at the MinGeo Siberia 2018 forum
On May 23rd and 24th, the city of Krasnoyarsk will host the 11th iteration of the international mining-geological forum called “MinGeo Siberia 2018”. Some of the most important representatives of Russian and international mining communities will gather together and discuss business. Current issues in mining development and extraction, innovative decisions about the growth of the mineral resource complex, new models of investing in junior mining projects – these will be at the forefront of the upcoming discussions at the forum.
In just two days, the forum will host more than ten plenary meetings
and roundtables in which representatives of the state executive,
enterprise leaders, and members of the business community will
discuss the state of the industry and suggest strategies for its
Among the topics presented to the geological community will be the
introduction of the first online platform for conducting junior
mining projects around the world. The new platform’s innovative
approach will facilitate the creation of a unified database of
geological deposits spanning the entire globe. By the year 2020, this
database will contain more than ten thousand real geological deposits
and feature a transparent tracking system.
Preliminary expert analysis of mining projects will be one of the key
aspects of this new service. Currently, the platform is undergoing
the establishment of the expert network which will include acclaimed
expert geologists from Russia and around the world.
By the year 2019, the platform’s service will be available to over
three thousand Russian and international mining companies, geological
experts and representatives of investment institutions. As noted by
CRIRSCO expert Gigoriy Malukhin, the reduction of risk that such
platforms provide results in favorable conditions for participation
in small and medium mining projects, for the miners themselves as
well as for the widest range of potential investors.
